Terms of Use for Luna

Effective date: July 20, 2026

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Luna on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the extent it is not inconsistent with these Terms.

2. Luna Pro Subscription

Luna's widgets and premium features require an auto-renewable subscription, Luna Pro, offered as:

• Weekly — $1.99 per week
• Monthly — $3.99 per month
• Yearly — $19.99 per year

Each plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App before purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if not cancelled.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.

3. Astronomical Information Disclaimer

Luna computes moon phases, moonrise/moonset times, distances, and astronomical events (such as eclipses and supermoons) using on-device astronomical algorithms, optionally refined by Apple Weather. This information is provided for general informational and entertainment purposes. Times and dates are approximations and may deviate from professional ephemerides by several minutes (or, for classification of borderline events, more). Do not rely on the App for navigation, aviation, maritime, religious observance, scientific research, or any purpose where errors could lead to harm or significant consequence.

4. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and original artwork, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable laws. The 3D lunar model "moon" by RenderX is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license and has been adapted for the App. Weather data is provided by Apple Weather. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App except as permitted by law or the applicable open licenses.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App in violation of applicable law, to interfere with its operation, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to related systems, or to use it in any manner that could damage or impair the service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data shown will be accurate.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Changes to the App and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license if you breach these Terms. Sections 3–7 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable consumer protection and data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where relevant. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
