Privacy Policy for Luna

1. Who We Are

2. Data We Collect

None. We operate no servers and receive no data from your device. Specifically, we do not collect identifiers, contact information, usage analytics, crash logs tied to you, advertising data, or any other personal information.

3. Location

If you grant location permission, Luna uses your approximate location for exactly one purpose: calculating moonrise and moonset times for where you are.

• Calculations run on your device.
• When Apple Weather refinement is available, iOS transmits your coordinates to Apple's WeatherKit service to retrieve lunar data. This exchange happens between your device and Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we are not part of it and never see your location.
• Luna works without location permission — you simply won't see moonrise/moonset times.

4. Purchases

Luna Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive your name, payment details, or billing address. Subscription entitlement is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit framework.

5. Data Stored on Your Device

Luna stores your preferences (such as the selected moon style and cached rendering frames) locally on your device in the app's private storage and shared App Group container. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the App.

6. Third-Party Services

• Apple WeatherKit — lunar data refinement (see Section 3).
• The App contains a 3D lunar model by RenderX (Sketchfab, CC BY 4.0). This is a bundled asset; no data is exchanged with Sketchfab.

Luna contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no social media integrations.

7. Children

Luna is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. Since no data is collected, no parental-consent mechanisms are required.

8. Your Rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to produce, correct, or delete — but if you believe otherwise or have any privacy question, contact us at the address below and we will respond.

9. Changes to This Policy

If Luna's data practices ever change (for example, if we add opt-in analytics), this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, with a new effective date. The current version always applies.
